Ms. Pavla Hajian has experience as a director and owner of a nursery school in Ealing, London. She has worked for many years at international language schools and nurseries. She has now been running Wonderland Preschool for eight years and is the founder of the private school, Wonderland Academy. Ms. Pavla Hajian has experience as a director and owner of a nursery school in Ealing, London. She has worked for many years at international language schools and nurseries. Ms. Pavla holds a DPP (Diploma in Pre-school Practice) and attended the NVQ Level 3 university course. She graduated in all levels of Montessori education. She also attended an accredited course of the National Institute of Continuing Education (NIDV): a qualification course for headmasters. She studied Environmental Education and received the title of Environmental Coordinator of Schools. Furthermore, she attended Menza ITL learning and a Genetic reading methods course. As in previous years, she continues to actively participate in the preparing of her schools' academic programs and personally supervises compliance with all governmental regulations and standards to ensure maximum satisfaction for your children.

Ms. Veronika Bergmanová
Director of MŠ Wonderland
Veronika loves being from “hundred-spired" Prague. Veronika holds a Primary Education degree with a focus on English teaching from Charles University. Veronika also graduated with a diploma in Pre-school and Out-of-school Pedagogy. She has many years of experience as a class teacher in a linguistic primary school, as well as experience as a director of a private sports-language kindergarten.
In addition to these studies, Veronika also attended the highly esteemed Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory of Music and, as you might have guessed, is passionate about music. In 2018, Veronika also received a certificate in yoga instruction for children. She has led many children's camps and is a mother of two children herself, Isabela and Max. She loves to spend her free time in the countryside or with a good book.
Veronika loves working at the Wonderland Preschools, where she works with a great team and in an exceptional environment. However, she is especially happy working with you, our wonderful parents. She is happy to answer any and all questions, so please do not hesitate to contact her.
Ms. Zdeňka Janů
Head Teacher of the Háje Branch
Zdeňka studied Biology at the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí na Labem. She comes from Chomutov, but fell in love with life in Prague the very first time she arrived. She then began her long-distance study at the University of Education while simultaneously working as a nanny for a family with three preschool-aged girls. She worked hard to create a stimulating environment for them and educated them using approaches from Montessori pedagogy. Zdeňka loves children’s spontaneity, enthusiasm, and creativity. She has been caring for children since she was the age of 16 and realized early on that working with children is her dream and mission in life.
Because speaking English is a useful tool to have in many careers and areas of life, Zdeňka decided to improve her English by taking a year-long course at a private school certified by FCE. She likes to spend her free time in the fresh air and with her family. Her hobbies include playing guitar, painting, photography, and interior design.
Head of the English Department
Joe comes to us from the small town of Sonoma, situated in the heart of Californian wine country. He went to California Polytechnic University: San Luis Obispo where he received his B.A. in History as well as a Liberal Arts Teaching Credential. Joe also holds a TEFL Certification, along with an additional certification for teaching young learners. He has experience teaching children from a variety of age groups, but he loves working with younger students the most.
When Joe is not teaching, he enjoys playing sports, traveling, and trying new foods. He has really enjoyed living in Prague thus far and is very glad to be a part of our Wonderland team. Joe looks forward to working with all of his students, both young and old, each year. He loves to watch young learners grow and does his best to set them up for success in their future academic endeavors.
Kristýna attended a secondary vocational school and graduated in EU administration with a focus on legal administration. Kristýna has always enjoyed working and spending time with children. Her first experience came when she began to manage children's camps and was put in charge of a group of children aged three to eight years. Initially, she only worked at this camp for a few weeks at a time but was so successful in her work that the adventure agency asked her to run the camps throughout the summer. The camps prepared Kristýna to manage children of differing age groups, organize scholastic programs, and prepare a daily structure that would both educate and entertain children.
Kristýna also has personal experience with helping young learners with special needs because she grew up with a brother who is on the autism spectrum. This gave Kristýna an important foundation as a teacher and helped her acquire a variety of useful and creative teaching techniques. Kristýna’s hobbies include art and all types of creative activities. She also likes to spend time with her younger siblings.
Teddy bears Teacher
Alena discovered her passion for working with children during her time as a handball coach. She took up the sport ten years ago and has since then served as the Head Coach of the girls' team at Hájích.
She continues to enhance her career as a trainer, and develops her knowledge and skills through different courses and trainings; as well as, developing her skills as a Kindergarten teacher.
She has taken several courses focused on sports, and working with children. She also participates in the preparation of sporting events for children, where various activities and games take place.
She devotes any free time that she has to her family; especially her three children and her dogs. She enjoys exploring new places with them, whether it is in nature, restaurants, or historic cities.
Another hobby of hers is training dogs, and she goes to various events in order to participate in competitions or shows every once in a while.
Dominika is a graduate of a secondary pedagogical school in Prague, where she studied "Preschool and Extracurricular Pedagogy". During her studies, she gained experience in several kindergartens and primary schools. After graduating, she began earning her bachelor degree’s at Akcent College, where she studied "English as a Foreign Language". There, under the guidance of teachers, she completed regular professional practice as an English teacher for adults.
Since 2010, Dominika has been working at the Arabeska private ballet school, where she still continues to teach ballet to children 4 to 10 years old. Thanks to this experience, she decided to move forward in a pedagogical direction, especially regarding the education of preschool children. She further expanded her teaching experience while working in other institutions which specialize in dance training for children.
She likes to spend her free time inside the ballet hall, where she can be found passing on her own experiences to small ballerinas and dancers, or in her personal training. She has participated in ballet ever since a very young age. During this time, she not only had the opportunity to dance in many beautiful theaters and cultural institutions, but was also able to compete at the international level and gain pedagogical experience, such as within the children dance camps that she consistently attended.
In MŠ Wonderland, Dominika looks forward to participating in various work alongside the children, such as developing their personalities in various areas, providing a playful education, and especially, having fun!
Ms. Zuzka graduated from a Family School with an economic and administrative focus. She has two children, Terezka and Tomas.
Ms. Zuzka deals with all kinds of economic matters and obligatory child documentation for the school. She provides food, records attendance, and prepares contractual documentation. She is very willing to cooperate, and you can contact her at any time.
Jirka works as a caretaker and driver for Wonderland Preschool and Wonderland Academy. He collects, transports, and delivers children by minibus to and from our school and on various trips. His other duties include repairing and maintaining our school buildings and gardens.
Because he is very skillful and happy to work with children, Jírka is also the instructor for our Little Handyman course, which is very popular.
He is a regular blood donor and a passionate restorer of old clocks.
Mgr. Tereza Macurová is a Psychology graduate from Palacký University Olomouc. Tereza has worked with children since her studies, in groups for autistic children and as an educational LARP programmes trainer. When working with children, she enjoys creativity and flexibility of children minds the most. She believes that every child has the capacity of enriching the world and that´s what led her to Wonderland, where she wishes to help making that come true.
In her free time, she engages in culture and long walks with her dog. As a passionate reader, she enjoys Russian classics and psychological literature. Beside reading, she´s also an active writer.
At the moment, she is a trainee at the Integrative coaching programme and plans on furthering her professional education even more.
Elves Class Teacher
Anna is a graduate of the Charles University pedagogical school in the field of special pedagogy. From the very start of her studies, she has focused on speech therapy and deaf-ute therapy, especially in regards to preschool ages. She is currently studying in her last year of her subsequent master's program for Speech Therapy. As well, she has over a year of experience working in a nursery school, where she was also able to apply her speech therapy perspective. Anna is patient, kind-hearted, loves children, and believes that she can conquer everything that comes her way.
Anna was born in Prague; a city that still fascinates her, especially when she continues to explore its secrets during long walks or bike rides.
She loves all animals, sports, and music, devoting herself intensively to singing and playing the guitar. Additonally, she enjoys learning new languages (Italian, English). She considers the combination of children's laughter, a stimulating environment, and a great team to be the best recipe for a positive workplace attitude.
Gretchen originally comes from the very North of Wisconsin near the beautiful Great Lakes. She spent the summers working with young girls as a Girl Scout camp counselor and the winter teaching snowboarding. She moved to Prague in 2014 in order to receive her Tefl certification along with the Young Learners accreditation. Since arriving she's worked with mostly young students teaching English, as a preschool teacher, and teaching horseback riding at a local farm.
She enjoys spending her free time doing anything outdoors including snowboarding, horseback riding, and rollerskating. In addition, she enjoys traveling and attending live music events. During the year she also volunteers her time working with the British Scouts in Prague.
She's looking forward to the new year at Wonderland!
Alexandra's hometown, Jelšava, is located in the central-eastern part of Slovakia.
She came to the Czech Republic with an interest in living in an artistic community, and a desire for finding her dream job.
Alexandra began working with children in the healthcare sector, at the pediatric haemato-oncology department at Motol Hospital.
Alexandra then began to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, in the intermedia studio of Professor Milan Knížák. During her studies at university, she also taught drawing, painting, and sculpture courses for children and adults.
After graduating, she combined her love of art with her love of children and worked for seven years in a church-administered speech therapy preschool. At this preschool, she gained experience with the basics of speech therapy, and also assisted children with various degrees of limitations. Alexandra led group therapy and instruction for preschoolers, focusing primarily on the area of graphomotor skills.
In her free time, she enjoys painting, drawing, and working with ceramics.
