Ms. Pavla Hajian
Founder of MŠ Wonderland
Ms. Pavla Hajian has experience as a director and owner of a nursery school in Ealing, London. She has worked for many years at international language schools and nurseries. She has now been running Wonderland Preschool for eight years and is the founder of the private school, Wonderland Academy. Ms. Pavla holds a DPP (Diploma in Pre-school Practice) and attended the NVQ Level 3 university course. She graduated in all levels of Montessori education. She also attended an accredited course of the National Institute of Continuing Education (NIDV): a qualification course for headmasters. She studied Environmental Education and received the title of Environmental Coordinator of Schools. Furthermore, she attended Menza ITL learning and a Genetic reading methods course. As in previous years, she continues to actively participate in the preparing of her schools' academic programs and personally supervises compliance with all governmental regulations and standards to ensure maximum satisfaction for your children.

Ms. Veronika Bergmanová
Director of MŠ Wonderland
Veronika was born in “hundred-spired" Prague, which she loves. She holds a Primary Education degree with a focus on teaching English from Charles University and also graduated with a diploma in Pre-school and Out-of-school Pedagogy. She has experience as a class teacher at a primary school focused on languages and was a director of a private kindergarten focusing on sports and languages for many years.
In addition to these studies, Veronika also attended the highly esteemed Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory of Music and, as you might have guessed, is passionate about music. In 2018, Veronika received her certificate as a yoga instructor for children. She has led many children's camps and is the mother of two of her own children, Isabela and Max. She loves to spend her free time in the countryside or with a good book.
Veronika is excited to work with our great team in the above-standard environment of Wonderland Preschool, but is most especially happy to work with you, our wonderful parents. She is happy to answer any and all questions, so please do not hesitate to contact her.
Teacher, Native speaker
Ms. Laura born in Asuncion, Paraguay. She attended Stael Ruffinelli de Ortiz English Music and Arts where she obtained her Trinity CertTESOL: NQF (National Qualities Framework) level 5. This certification is validated by Trinity College London and is equivalent to the CELTA which is validated by Cambridge ESOL. She studied Psychology for 3 years at Universidad Columbia de Asuncion and worked at a primary bilingual school for almost 9 years where she taught English to students of all ages and levels. There, she also prepared students to take the International Trinity English language test each year.
In 2014, Ms. Laura had the opportunity to chaperone a class of high school students on a trip to Colorado (U.S.A.) as a part of an international student exchange program that was organized by the language school she worked for. She learned new skills and techniques from many experienced teachers during her trip that helped her grow into the teacher she is now.
Ms. Laura is passionate about education and aware of the positive impact that teachers can have on their students. She believes a teacher’s guidance should help students to improve their critical thinking and overall cognitive function. She likes teaching young learners because of their energy and curiosity, and she loves to learn new things about education and psychology. She originally visited Prague in February 2017 and liked it so much that she moved here in October 2018. In her free time, Ms. Laura enjoys long walks, cooking, reading, running, cycling, and, of course, travelling.
Elves class teacher
Markéta was born in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains. Her educational journey led her to study first in Olomouc, where she graduated from a secondary school focused on tourism, and then, later on, in Brno, where she studied English for a year at a language school.
Markéta’s desire to be with children has been a part of her ever since she can remember. Even though she has worked in a variety of professions, she has always found a way to spend time with children. She gained experience working as an instructor at a kids’ camp and also as a kindergarten teacher and assistant.
The turning point in her professional career came when she became friends with a clinical speech therapist in Prague who inspired her to investigate the field of speech therapy. Soon after this, Markéta began studying speech therapy at Masaryk University in Brno. She has been leading speech therapy sessions for a year now, helping children to train their tongues and communicate clearly.
Markéta likes to read, go to musicals, write short stories, and make toys and games for children in her free time. Working with children is one of the most beautiful things she could imagine having in her life and has become her life’s mission. She asks, "What in the world could be more precious than a happy child?"
Elves class teacher
Ms. Dana takes care of the smallest members of Wonderland, children from the RolyPoly crèches, with love and professional care.
Ms. Dana is a qualified nurse. She graduated from the Secondary Medical School in Brno. After graduation, she traveled to the UK to work as an au pair. After returning she joined an orthopedic clinic. Over the course of time she has successfully completed a special pedagogy study at Masaryk University in Brno. She worked at a private nursery school as part of her studies. She has been practicing surgical surgery for many years as an instrumentalist. In her free time she continues to work with children.
Working with children fills her with positive energy and she enjoys each day. Ms. Dana likes travelling, sports, reading, going to the cinema and theatre, trips into the wilderness. Her biggest hobby is her family. She is the mother of her 14-month-old son, Patrick.
Head teacher and Elves class teacher
Naďa Grygar Aniolová comes from Moravia and graduated from a science school in Havířov. She has worked in both business and marketing in multi-national companies, but, some time ago, her love for children directed her career in a different direction. She began her work at Wonderland and realized that she could never go back to the office after experiencing the joy of helping children to grow.
Naďa enjoys doing yoga, spending time with animals, and making creative handmade products. She has an adult son, 3 dogs, and a part-time bunny. She lives with her family in the countryside and cites nature as a beautiful source of inspiration for her.
Elves class teacher
Ivetka has completed study at the Secondary School of Nursing and the Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in HK (Nursing and Pedagogy). She has also completed a course in Manual Lymphotherapy, a course in the Motor, Social and Psychological Development of Infants, Toddlers, Preschool Children, and a course in Infant Massage and Aromatherapy.
Iveta has worked in Motol-Paediatric Oncology, the bone marrow transplant unit of ICU, FN Střešovice-surgery unit ICU, child emergency unit, CPM lymphotherapy, and patient bathing. She has also worked as a postpartum doula, lactation counsellor, and swim instructor for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. In addition, Ivetka is trained in detecting deviations of psycho-motor development in children.
Iveta loves babies, children, and her work with parents. Her other hobbies include time with family, TRX, jogging, swimming, trekking, dogs and cats, nature, travelling, a healthy lifestyle, and enjoying the company of honest, hardworking folks.
Rainbows class teacher
Joe comes to us from the small town of Sonoma, which is situated in the heart of Californian wine country. He went to California Polytechnic University: San Luis Obispo where he received his B.A. in History, as well as a Liberal Arts Teaching Credential. Joe also holds a TEFL Certification, along with an additional certification for teaching young learners. He has experience teaching children from a variety of age groups, but he loves working with younger students the most.
When Joe is not teaching, he enjoys playing sports, traveling, and trying new foods. He has really enjoyed living in Prague thus far and is very glad to be a part of our Wonderland team. Joe looks forward to working with all of his students, both young and old, each year. He loves to watch young learners grow and does his best to set them up for success in their future academic endeavors.
Rainbows class teacher
Ms. Veronika graduated from the Business Academy, but she has realized during her studies that her dream was to work with children. After the graduation she went to America for a year as Au pair. She took care of two little girls, and she also attended an English course at Anne Arundel Community College. After returning to the Czech Republic, she began studying at Charles University in the field of school management. She is also working as an free time educator and also taught physical training for the first grade. The next year she worked in English pre-school. At that time she knew she'd found out that this is what she wants to do. Working with pre-school children is fun and fulfilling for her. She started a further study in the field of childhood development.
Ms. Veronika has been professionally dancing since very young age. She studied the Dance Conservatory, hosted international dances abroad, led dance clubs for the youngest children, taught the zumba, modern dance and fit dance. Her most favorite hobby besides working with children is traveling and fitness.
Owls class teacher
Ms. Hannah is from the U.S.A. and grew up near Washington D.C., where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English, an associate degree in General Studies, and a minor in psychology. She holds both a TEFL certification and an additional, specialized certification in teaching young learners.
Ms. Hannah is the oldest girl of six siblings and spent much of her life caring for and guiding her younger family members into becoming happy, healthy adults. She led educational homeschool programs for children ages 3-10 for many years and has previous experience with teaching at Czech-English preschools.
Ms. Hannah enjoys tennis, golf, salsa dancing, kickboxing, cooking, board games, and sunshine.
She loves to travel and has visited 29 states, 20 countries, and 2 provinces so far! She is very happy to be at MŠ Wonderland, where everyone has been extremely helpful and welcoming during her transition. She looks forward to working with and getting to know her Owls class!
Dominika Kiene graduated from the Faculty of Education at Charles University. After finishing her studies, she joined the phoniatric department at the ENT clinic in Bulovka. As a clinical speech therapist she also worked at the Phoniatric Clinic in Prague 2, FN 2. She then lived abroad with her husband, an American diplomat. She worked in the Special Services Division in the Bahamas as a logoped consultant for socially disadvantaged families. In the USA, she was teaching Czech. Open more
Speech therapist and special educator
She worked as a Czech lecturer at Adult Education in Virginia and at the school Inligua, which prepared diplomats for the US Embassy around the world. After returning to Prague she currently works in private speech therapy. She helped the private clinic LOGO open a branch in Prague, working with Canadian Medical Care as a clinical logoped for children and adults from a multilingual environment. Experiences from the Special Pedagogical Center for Children with Speech Disorders are also important. She is currently working as a clinical speech therapist in Prague 10 and intensively cooperates with various bilingual nurseries. Dominika is the mother of two adult children. Her son works in New York City and her daughter is studying at the MICA Art University in Baltimore.
Owls class teacher
Karolína has been devoted to music since seven years of her age when she started to play piano. She has decided to further develope her musical skills in the field of harp at Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and then at HAMU in Prague, where she is currently completing her studies. She has studied one semester at the Royal College of Music in London through the Erasmus.
She was always interested and tempted to work with children. Her first experience in this direction was working with children at summer musical camps. During her studies in Ostrava, she taught at the Art School for four years. In the school year 2017/2018 she was a teacher at the private pre-school Radost.
Her hobbies include culinary, sports and reading.
Owls class teacher - currently on maternity leave
Ms. Maria comes from Murcia, southeastern Spain. There it is sunny, warm and dry :) near the Mediterranean Sea.
Ms. Maria has been working with children since high school. She began by supervising children, tutoring, practicing as a sports instructor, attending summer camps, and organizing children's events. After graduating in psychology, Ms. Maria studied child psychology and was engaged in treatment of children with learning disabilities, school problems, or attention deficit disorder. Open more
In 2013, Ms. Maria moved to Canada, where she worked as a children's nanny. Here she was given the opportunity to learn the customs of other cultures and had the opportunity to learn in a bilingual environment.
After moving to the Czech Republic, Ms Maria participated in a program which culminated in a certificate for the training of Spanish teachers at the Cervantes Institute in Prague. Ms. Maria worked for some time at a Kindergarten in Pilsen and worked at an English summer camp in Prague.
Ms. Maria loves sports and activities in nature, especially in mountain areas. She likes running, roller skating and cycling, but also enjoys a relaxing evening at home watching interesting movies, listening to music or reading. Ms. Maria likes being creative: from drawing, dyeing, cutting to gluing and decorating. Ms. Maria also likes to cook, but her favorite part is when she gets to eat the final product ;)

Ms. Lucie graduated in social work. For three years she was a member of self-experience training in Rogerian therapy, and for about the same time she was also a member of the Prague rogerian group.
After studying she left Czech Republic and for several years traveled and worked across Europe, America and Asia
Though she had already devoted herself to children and worked in a low-threshold children's club in Ústí nad Labem, the most intense and hindmost experience in working with children was her traveling. Since she was seventeen, she has been in England for about 10 years, helping a family with four children with whom she has been in contact since their earliest childhood. In 2010, as a volunteer, she took part in a Solar School project in India - she worked as a teacher and coordinator of a school in a Himalayan village, where she mainly devoted herself to preschool and fresh school children. In addition to co-ordinating the overall course of the school, it was mainly teaching children in English.
With children she is particularly fascinated by their creativity, imagination and some degree the natural truth that adults can learn from them. Her aim is to support children in their growth, to maintain and develop their natural tendencies and talents and in particular to provide them with an environment in which they will not have to worry about themselves.
Miss Zuzka graduated from a Family School with an economic and administrative focus. She has two children, Terezka and Tomas.
Miss Zuzka deals with all kinds of economic matters and obligatory child documentation for the school. She provides food, records attendance, and prepares contractual documentation. She is very willing to cooperate, and you can contact her at any time.
Caretaker and driver
Mr. Plíva works as a caretaker and driver for Wonderland Kindergarten and Wonderland Academy. He provides the collection, transport and delivery of children by minibus to and from the school, and for various trips. His other duties include repairs and maintenance of the buildings and gardens.
Because he is very skillful and happy to work with children, he runs the Little handyman course, which is very popular.
He is a regular blood donor and a passionate restorer of old clocks.
Michal grew up in Litoměřice, where he played ice-hockey and football from a young age. He is a mechanic of track machines, he worked for several years at Czech Railways. He has also run landlord activities and has tried out a tough job in the private sector.
His great long life love remains in sport. In 1994 he obtained a coaching license and began to work at the children's and youth clubs as a football coach. He has experience working with children from 5 to 16 years of age. He is currently working at 1.FK Příbram.
From his first marriage he has two sons, Michael and Luke. In his current relationship with his partner Šárka, they have two sons, John and James. If time allows him, he spends it with them as much as possible in the wilderness.
