Ms. Pavla Hajian
Founder of MŠ Wonderland
Ms. Pavla Hajian has previous experience as a director and owner of a nursery school in Ealing, London. She has worked for many years at international language schools and nurseries. She has now been running Wonderland Preschool for eight years and is the founder of the private school, Wonderland Academy. Ms. Pavla holds a DPP (Diploma in Pre-school Practice) and attended the NVQ Level 3 University course. She graduated in all levels of Montessori education. She also attended an accredited course of the National Institute of Continuing Education (NIDV): a qualification course for headmasters. She studied Environmental Education and received the title of Environmental Coordinator of Schools. Furthermore, she attended the Menza ITL learning and Genetic reading methods course. As in previous years, she has continued to actively participate in the preparing of her schools' academic programs as well as personally supervise her schools' compliance with all of the governmental regulations and standards in order to ensure maximum satisfaction for your children.

Ms. Veronika Bergmanová
Director of MŠ Wonderland
Veronika loves being from “hundred-spired" Prague. Veronika holds a Primary Education degree with a focus on English teaching from Charles University. Veronika also graduated with a diploma in Pre-school and Out-of-school Pedagogy. She has many years of experience as a class teacher in a linguistic primary school, as well as experience as a director of a private sports-language kindergarten.
In addition to these studies, Veronika also attended the highly esteemed Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory of Music and, as you might have guessed, is passionate about music. In 2018, Veronika also received a certificate in yoga instruction for children. She has led many children's camps and is a mother of two children herself, Isabela and Max. She loves to spend her free time in the countryside or with a good book.
Veronika loves working at the Wonderland Preschools, where she works with a great team and in an exceptional environment. However, she is especially happy working with you, our wonderful parents. She is happy to answer any and all questions, so please do not hesitate to contact her.
Ivetka has completed study at the Secondary School of Nursing and the Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in HK (Nursing and Pedagogy). She has also completed a course in Manual Lymphotherapy, a course in the Motor, Social, and Psychological Development of Infants, Toddlers, Preschool Children, and lastly, a course in Infant Massage and Aromatherapy.
Ivetka has worked in Motol-Paediatric Oncology, the bone marrow transplant unit of ICU, FN Střešovice-surgery unit ICU, child emergency unit, CPM lymphotherapy, and patient bathing. She has also worked as a postpartum doula, lactation counsellor, and swim instructor for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. In addition, Ivetka is trained in detecting deviations of psycho-motor development in children.
Ivetka loves working with babies, children, and especially, with parents. Her other hobbies include time with family, TRX, jogging, swimming, hiking, playing with dogs and cats, nature, traveling, living a healthy lifestyle, and enjoying the company of honest, hardworking folks.

Head of the English Department
Joe comes to us from the small town of Sonoma, situated in the heart of Californian wine country. He went to California Polytechnic University: San Luis Obispo where he received his B.A. in History as well as a Liberal Arts Teaching Credential. Joe also holds a TEFL Certification, along with an additional certification for teaching young learners. He has experience teaching children from a variety of age groups, but he loves working with younger students the most.
When Joe is not teaching, he enjoys playing sports, traveling, and trying new foods. He has really enjoyed living in Prague thus far and is very glad to be a part of our Wonderland team. Joe looks forward to working with all of his students, both young and old, each year. He loves to watch young learners grow and does his best to set them up for success in their future academic endeavors.
Head Teacher of the Hrnčíře Branch and Rainbows Class Teacher
Ms. Veronika graduated from the Business Academy, but realized during her studies that her dream was to work with children. After graduating, she lived in the United States for one year, working as an au pair to a family of two little girls, while at the same time, simultaneously attending an English course at Anne Arundel Community College. After returning to the Czech Republic, she began studying at Charles University in the field of school management. During this time, she taught physical education to the first grade, worked as a freelance educator, and started work at an English preschool. She discovered there that she has the most joy and fulfillment when working with preschool children. Therefore, she decided to pursue a full-time position and further her studies in the field of childhood development. In the summer of 2020, Veronika graduated from Charles University with a School Management degree, as well as earned her pedagogic highschool degree with an emphasis in prechool education.
Ms. Veronika has been dancing professionally since she was a very young age. In the past, she studied at the Dance Conservatory, hosted international dances abroad, led dance clubs for young children, as well as taught zumba, modern dance, and fit dance. Her favorite hobbies, besides working with children, are traveling and fitness.
Owls Class Teacher
Zdeňka studied Biology at the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí na Labem. She comes from Chomutov, but fell in love with life in Prague the very first time she arrived. She then began her long-distance study at the University of Education while simultaneously working as a nanny for a family with three preschool-aged girls. She worked hard to create a stimulating environment for them and educated them using approaches from Montessori pedagogy. Zdeňka loves children’s spontaneity, enthusiasm, and creativity. She has been caring for children since she was the age of 16 and realized early on that working with children is her dream and mission in life.
Because speaking English is a useful tool to have in many careers and areas of life, Zdeňka decided to improve her English by taking a year-long course at a private school certified by FCE. She likes to spend her free time in the fresh air and with her family. Her hobbies include playing guitar, painting, photography, and interior design.
Owls Class Teacher
Alison grew up in a farm town near Los Angeles, California. She graduated with honors from California State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a specialization in Cultural Anthropology. Upon Alison’s arrival to Prague in 2019, she earned her TEFL certificate and completed a Young Learners Training course as well. Her first teaching job in Prague consisted of an after-school program with children ranging from grades kindergarten to 6th. Alison is the youngest of five children and is so happy to have many nieces and nephews with whom she has spent lots of time with and now continues to watch grow from afar.
Alison is passionate about nature and looks forward to incorporating it within the classroom. Her hobbies include hiking, reading, exploring different cultures, and making new friends. Alison loves working with children, as she is able to express her fun and silly personality. She is hoping to learn a little bit of Czech along the way! She is already inspired by the loving, hardworking people that she has met at Wonderland and could not be more thrilled to become a new member of the team.
Ms. Zuzka graduated from a Family School with an economic and administrative focus. She has two children, Terezka and Tomas.
Ms. Zuzka deals with all kinds of economic matters and obligatory child documentation for the school. She provides food, records attendance, and prepares contractual documentation. She is very willing to cooperate, and you can contact her at any time.
Caretaker and Driver
Jirka works as a caretaker and driver for our Wonderland Preschool and Wonderland Academy. He collects, transports, and delivers children by minibus to and from our school and on various trips. His other duties include repairing and maintaining our school buildings and gardens.
Because he is very skillful and happy working with children, he is also the instructor of our popular children's course "Little Handyman".
He is a regular blood donor and a passionate restorer of old clocks.
Canteen Manager and Cleaning Service
Mgr. Tereza Macurová is a Psychology graduate from Palacký University Olomouc. Tereza has worked with children since her studies, in groups for autistic children and as an educational LARP programmes trainer. When working with children, she enjoys creativity and flexibility of children minds the most. She believes that every child has the capacity of enriching the world and that´s what led her to Wonderland, where she wishes to help making that come true.
In her free time, she engages in culture and long walks with her dog. As a passionate reader, she enjoys Russian classics and psychological literature. Beside reading, she´s also an active writer.
At the moment, she is a trainee at the Integrative coaching programme and plans on furthering her professional education even more.
Elves Class Teacher
Anna is a graduate of the Charles University pedagogical school in the field of special pedagogy. From the very start of her studies, she has focused on speech therapy and deaf-ute therapy, especially in regards to preschool ages. She is currently studying in her last year of her subsequent master's program for Speech Therapy. As well, she has over a year of experience working in a nursery school, where she was also able to apply her speech therapy perspective. Anna is patient, kind-hearted, loves children, and believes that she can conquer everything that comes her way.
Anna was born in Prague; a city that still fascinates her, especially when she continues to explore its secrets during long walks or bike rides.
She loves all animals, sports, and music, devoting herself intensively to singing and playing the guitar. Additonally, she enjoys learning new languages (Italian, English). She considers the combination of children's laughter, a stimulating environment, and a great team to be the best recipe for a positive workplace attitude.
Elves Class Teacher
Mikaela is originally from Texas, where she completed a bachelor’s in international business and French. She discovered her passion for teaching while working at a nursery and preschool in Longview, gaining experience with children aged six months to three years, and later had the opportunity to teach in France as well. Mikaela gained a TEFL certification here in Prague, where she later began teaching business English to adults and later began teaching children.
In her free time, Mikaela enjoys learning languages and exploring new cultures, traveling, ceramics, film, and board games
Elves Class Teacher
Martina was born in Prague. She graduated from gymnasium high school with a focus on natural sciences and devoted herself to working in the field of tourism. After the birth of her children however, she searched for the best way to care for them while providing them with an education at the same time. She then completed a number of courses which focused on the musical and psychomotor development of children. As well, she received a certification in international Montessori AMI in working with children aged 0-3 years, as well as a national Montessori certification in working with children aged 3-6 years. Martina then graduated from the secondary pedagogical school in Mlada Boleslav and the course “Respect and Be Respected”.
Since 2011, she has worked as a head teacher at a Montessori kindergarten, led lessons and workshops for parents and children, and has worked as a tutor within the Helping Schools project as well as a leader of a toddler class within an international Montessori kindergarten.
Working with children is Martina’s biggest hobby and joy, as she is happy when she is near them and loves watching the world through their eyes. In her free time, she devotes himself to personal self-development, baking and cooking non-traditional dishes, swimming, mountain hiking, and exploring the natural beauty of the world.
