Ms. Pavla Hajian
Founder of MŠ Wonderland
Ms. Pavla Hajian has previous experience as a director and owner of a nursery school in Ealing, London. She has worked for many years at international language schools and nurseries. She has now been running Wonderland Preschool for eight years and is the founder of the private school, Wonderland Academy. Ms. Pavla holds a DPP (Diploma in Pre-school Practice) and attended the NVQ Level 3 University course. She graduated in all levels of Montessori education. She also attended an accredited course of the National Institute of Continuing Education (NIDV): a qualification course for headmasters. She studied Environmental Education and received the title of Environmental Coordinator of Schools. Furthermore, she attended the Menza ITL learning and Genetic reading methods course. As in previous years, she has continued to actively participate in the preparing of her schools' academic programs as well as personally supervise her schools' compliance with all of the governmental regulations and standards in order to ensure maximum satisfaction for your children.

Ms. Veronika Bergmanová
Director of MŠ Wonderland
Veronika was born in a place that she loves, “hundred-spired" Prague. She holds a Primary Education degree with a focus on teaching English from Charles University and also graduated with a diploma in Pre-school and Out-of-school Pedagogy. She has many years of experience as a class teacher at a language-focused primary school as well as experience as a director of a private sports-language kindergarten.
In addition to these studies, Veronika also attended the highly esteemed Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory of Music and, as you might have guessed, is passionate about music. In 2018, Veronika received her certificate as a yoga instructor for children. She has led many children's camps and is a mother of two herself, Isabela and Max. She loves to spend her free time in the countryside or with a good book.
Veronika is excited to work with our great team in the above-standard environment of Wonderland Preschool, but is especially happy to work with you, our wonderful parents. She is happy to answer any and all questions, so please do not hesitate to contact her.
Head of English and Owls Class teacher
Rebecca, nicknamed Becca, was born in California in the United States. She moved to Prague in 2018 to complete her CELTA certificate at Oxford House. Becca has absolutely fallen in love with the beauty of Prague and plans to stay for a very long time. Becca has been working with Wonderland for over a year and has now been newly appointed as Head of English.
Becca has worked with children since the age of 13 and has been a professional nanny for six years. She loves working with children because it gives her a positive, fun perspective on life, while at the same time, she can visibly see their growth as they gain new knowledge. Rebecca graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara and received a degree in Music Studies. She is an opera singer and has over ten years of training. She cannot wait to bring music into her teaching with the children.
In her free time, Rebecca loves to explore parts of Prague that she has yet to see while meeting the most amazing friends from a variety of cultures. Rebecca has been thrilled to be a part of the Wonderland team and loves working with children as they embark on the journey to learn English!
Elves class teacher
Ivetka has completed study at the Secondary School of Nursing and the Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in HK (Nursing and Pedagogy). She has also completed a course in Manual Lymphotherapy, a course in the Motor, Social, and Psychological Development of Infants, Toddlers, Preschool Children, and lastly, a course in Infant Massage and Aromatherapy.
Ivetka has worked in Motol-Paediatric Oncology, the bone marrow transplant unit of ICU, FN Střešovice-surgery unit ICU, child emergency unit, CPM lymphotherapy, and patient bathing. She has also worked as a postpartum doula, lactation counsellor, and swim instructor for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. In addition, Ivetka is trained in detecting deviations of psycho-motor development in children.
Ivetka loves working with babies, children, and especially, with parents. Her other hobbies include time with family, TRX, jogging, swimming, hiking, playing with dogs and cats, nature, traveling, living a healthy lifestyle, and enjoying the company of honest, hardworking folks.
Rainbows class teacher
Joe comes to us from the small town of Sonoma, situated in the heart of Californian wine country. He went to California Polytechnic University: San Luis Obispo where he received his B.A. in History as well as a Liberal Arts Teaching Credential. Joe also holds a TEFL Certification, along with an additional certification for teaching young learners. He has experience teaching children from a variety of age groups, but he loves working with younger students the most.
When Joe is not teaching, he enjoys playing sports, traveling, and trying new foods. He has really enjoyed living in Prague thus far and is very glad to be a part of our Wonderland team. Joe looks forward to working with all of his students, both young and old, each year. He loves to watch young learners grow and does his best to set them up for success in their future academic endeavors.
Rainbows class teacher
Ms. Veronika graduated from the Business Academy, but realized during her studies that her dream was to work with children. After graduation, she lived in the U.S. for a year, working as an au pair for a family with two little girls, while simultaneously attending an English course at Anne Arundel Community College. After returning to the Czech Republic, she began studying at Charles University in the field of school management. During this time, she taught physical education to the first grade, worked as a freelance educator, and started work at an English preschool. She discovered there that her work with preschool children is the most fulfilling and joyful, therefore, she decided to pursue a full-time position and further her studies in the field of childhood development.
Ms. Veronika has been dancing professionally since a very young age. In the past, she studied at the Dance Conservatory, hosted international dances abroad, led dance clubs for young children, as well as has taught zumba, modern dance, and fit dance. Her favorite hobbies, besides working with children, are traveling and fitness.
Owls class teacher and music teacher
Karolína has been devoted to music ever since she first began playing the piano at the age of seven. She decided to further develop her musical skills by studying the harp at Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava followed by HAMU in Prague, where she completed her studies. She also studied for a semester at the Royal College of Music in London through the Erasmus program.
She loves children and has always been interested in working with them. Her first experience teaching children was at musical summer camps. Subsequently, she taught at an art school for four years and one year at the private preschool Radost before joining the MŠ Wonderland team.
Her hobbies include cooking, playing sports, and reading.
Elves class teacher and native speaker
Karolína gained most of her experience working with children in England. There, she taught English in summer schools to students of many different ages, nationalities, and levels. She enjoyed working with children so much that she found her way to us and could not be happier!
Karolína studied History of Art and Aesthetics at the University of Kent in England and graduated with a master's degree. In 2018, she earned a CELTA certificate, allowing her to pursue her career as a teacher. Because Karolína spent most of her life in the British education system, as well as lived in England for a number of years, she speaks English at a native level. She also spent several years living in Serbia, therefore, she is very accustomed to a multilingual environment. In her free time, Karolina enjoys going to art galleries, attending concerts, and writing articles..
Elves class teacher
Zdeňka studied Biology at the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí na Labem. She comes from Chomutov, but fell in love with life in Prague the very first time she arrived. She then began her long-distance study at the University of Education while simultaneously working as a nanny for a family with three preschool-aged girls. She worked hard to create a stimulating environment for them and educated them using approaches from Montessori pedagogy. Zdeňka loves children’s spontaneity, enthusiasm, and creativity. She has been caring for children since she was the age of 16 and realized early on that working with children is her dream and mission in life.
Because speaking English is a useful tool to have in many careers and areas of life, Zdeňka decided to improve her English by taking a year-long course at a private school certified by FCE. She likes to spend her free time in the fresh air and with her family. Her hobbies include playing guitar, painting, photography, and interior design.
Speech therapist and special educator
Marek Lansdorf graduated from the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague, where he specialized in Biology and Health Education. During his studies, he realized that there were not enough educators in the Czech Republic trained to help pupils with learning difficulties. This made him decide to return to his former university to study special pedagogy with a focus on speech therapy. During his studies, Marek learned how to create and apply preventive programs at primary and secondary schools. He completed most of his practice while teaching biology and health education at the Secondary School of Nursing in Prague.
Marek is happy to teach Biology in Nature here at Wonderland and enjoys learning alongside his students. Hearing feedback from his pupils is very important to Marek, as he then knows how best to direct the topics and teaching methods of his classes. He also believes that a safe classroom environment is one of the cornerstones of teaching. In his free time, Marek travels throughout the Czech Republic and around the world, as he loves getting closer to natural beauty. He advocates a healthy lifestyle and enjoys roller skating, reading, culture, and art..
Ms. Zuzka graduated from a Family School with an economic and administrative focus. She has two children, Terezka and Tomas.
Ms. Zuzka deals with all kinds of economic matters and obligatory child documentation for the school. She provides food, records attendance, and prepares contractual documentation. She is very willing to cooperate, and you can contact her at any time.
Caretaker and driver
Jirka works as a caretaker and driver for our Wonderland Preschool and Wonderland Academy. He collects, transports, and delivers children by minibus to and from our school and on various trips. His other duties include repairing and maintaining our school buildings and gardens.
Because he is very skillful and happy working with children, he is also the instructor of our popular children's course "Little Handyman".
He is a regular blood donor and a passionate restorer of old clocks.
Michal grew up in Litoměřice, where he played ice-hockey and football from a very young age. In the past, he worked for several years as a train mechanic at Czech Railways. He has also worked as a landlord and has experience working as an entrepreneur in the private sector.
Michal's great, lifelong love has always been the world of sports. In 1994, he obtained a coaching license and began to work as a football coach at clubs for young children and youths. He has experience working with children from ages 5 to 16. He is currently working at 1.FK Příbram.
Michal has two sons, Michael and Luke, from his first marriage. In his current relationship with his partner Šárka, he has two more sons, John and James. Michal spends his free time in the wilderness with his family.
